Hardlight rebrand

The mobile games industry has bloomed in recent years and HARDlight are part of it, they boast games such as Sonic Dash, Crazy Taxi: City Rush, Sonic Dash 2: Sonic Boom and Sonic Forces: Speed Battle.

With their industry fast growing up, HARDlight wanted this to show in their new identity. Their  logo  is  a  high-end,  clean  and   considered  design  to  reflect  the  qualities  of  the  studio and the AAA feel they were looking for.

‘HARD’  is  presented  in  uppercase  and  in  a  bolder  form  than  ‘light’  to  create  a  strong  contrast  in  the  two  elements  of  the  name.  Close  attention  has  been  payed  to  the  letter  spacing;  by  creating  more  space  between  the  letters,  this  expresses  HARDlight  as  a  high-end  studio  that  produces  quality  games.  The  logo  stands  proud  and  confident,  without  complication.

Once the branding and narrative for the studio was settled upon it was time to transfer the new look and feel into a website. Working closely with HARDlight I designed their new website, with a focus on recruitment. They wanted the chance to sell Leamington Spa as a destination, with it being well connected, full of history and its beautiful parks HARDlight wish to pull new talent to the area. 

Overseeing the photography and video production to the site I managed every step of the build from design to completion.
